Novations Project Management Training Now Online from Stevens WebCampus
HOBOKEN, NJ, September 24,
2007 — In an expansion of Stevens
Institute of Technology’s partnership with global
corporate training provider Novations Group, Inc., the
Novations project management certificate program is now
available to corporate employees online from Stevens’
WebCampus.
While technical and managerial staff at Fortune 1000
companies may continue to enroll in classrooms at corporate
sites, the new arrangement with Novations now affords them
the flexibility of taking Novations courses over the
WebCampus platform. Led by real-time instructors or
accessible in pre-recorded sessions, Novations courses
delivered on WebCampus will give students the freedom to
post messages, participate in team projects and take exams
entirely online. The seven theoretical and practical
courses may be completed in as little as 21 days.
"After an exacting review of Novations curriculum by
our faculty, Stevens selected Novations to provide seven
core courses," said Audrey Curtis, Executive Director
of the Stevens Project Management Program. "While
Stevens graduate management programs require 12 courses in
order to earn a master’s, under the Novations-Stevens
plan participants who conclude the seven courses and qualify
via Stevens entrance exam may waive four Stevens
graduate-level courses, resulting in only eight more
courses to earn their master’s, a savings to clients
of more than $10,000 for each employee."
According to Novations Director of Client Services Jim
Bryan, "The new program allows corporate tuition
reimbursement programs to align with corporate training to
achieve the same goals."

The Stevens project management graduate program is one of a
handful in the nation entirely accredited by the Project
Management Institute and the Global Accreditation Center.
With more than 160 courses — 15 fully online
master’s degrees and 35 graduate certificates —
WebCampus was named the "Best Online University"
by the Sloan Foundation. WebCampus also received the prize
as the "Best Online Graduate School" by the U.S.
Distance Learning Association.
